Garmin has released a new update, version 7.07, for owners of its Forerunner 945 LTE smartwatch participating in the beta program. The software includes a range of new features, such as Training Readiness, Race Widget, Morning Report and Fitness Age. Plus, the update includes general bug fixes.
Garmin has released new Forerunner 945 LTE smartwatch software, beta version 7.07. The company’s post on the Garmin forum states that the update is a “Release Candidate”, meaning it is expected to become a public update assuming no significant bugs exist.
Update version 7.07 includes many new features, such as Training Readiness, which provides insights to enhance your training efficiency. Race Widget helps you prepare for competition, and Morning Report provides a daily summary of your calendar, the weather and your step goal. A new health tool is HRV status, which monitors your heart rate variability as you sleep. These measurements, alongside other statistics such as your VO2 max, are used in Training Status 2.0, also included in the update, which can tell you how well your training is working. Plus, a Workout Execution score indicates whether you completed your session accurately.
The Forerunner 945 LTE can now estimate your fitness age, analysing physiological data to calculate how old you are fitness-wise versus your actual age. Alongside the new tools, the update includes several bug fixes and improvements, such as updates About and Activity Summary pages. Sensor Hub Version 20.06 is also included in update 7.07. The Garmin Beta Program allows users to test new features before a general release; you can sign up for the Beta Program via Garmin Connect.
